There are plenty of so called "web designers" and "solutions" in the market. Island Virtual offers the ability for YOU to operate and maintain your website without paying a webmaster for every subtle change you want to make. Some webmasters hold your site hostage by charging huge fees for changing basic content YOU can change.
If you are held hostage to hosting, function, or features, you need to fire your current solution. Freedom to host YOUR site in any format (PHP, XHTML, etc) is YOUR choice. Don't fall for the "we have to host your site" scam. That just means you get to pay inflated hosting costs and have limited support when the site is down. IV does not make money on hosting. In fact, we just assume you use GoDaddy, as it is robust, cheap, and easy to use.
One other tip: if you cannot access YOUR site via FTP, you are a hostage. This means your ability to have effective SEO and have another programmer maintain your site is limited to what your provider gives you access to. Ask for FTP access and ROOT access to your site. If that is not available, it is time to walk away!

The training is easy and we provide you the support needed to help you take control of your website.
"I already have a website. Can I use a CMS?"
Yes! We can migrate your current site into our amazing backend. Your design will be 100% the same "live site" with the added bonus of real-time editing, and other features already mentioned. Other options
